All 4 members in the Michelin Club went for the 5 Courses Tasting Menu, where the following dishes were served:

Snacks

Roasted onion squash velouté: Scottish langoustine, crème fraîche & lime.

Colchester crab salad: Apple & coriander, black garlic, lemon purée, brown crab on toast.

Lake District lamb loin: Braised neck, roasted artichoke, merguez sausage, curds & whey (x 2) OR

Roasted Highland venison: Honey spiced beetroots, red cabbage purèe & pickled apple (X 2).

Selection from the cheese board (additional).

Blackcurrant “Eton Mess”.

Bitter chocolate pavé: Olive biscuit, olive oil conserve, chocolate ice-cream.

Wine:

We changed the Sommelier after the White Wine as we didn't have a proper communication going on and was not happy with the Red Wine we got served and which we returned. However when we got the Head Sommelier to take care of us - she completely turned around the bad experience and also gave us a massive discount on the Wines to make up for it - so we ended up getting an  excellent service and a really nice Wine experience.

We had the following wines:

White: Sancere, Doamine Vincent Delaporte 2014 (France).

Red: Malbec, Penedo Borges, Mendoza 2014 (Argentina).

Port: Quinta da Gaivosa 10 Year Old Tawny Port.

Dessert: 4 gl. of Riesling Moutere, Neudorf, Nelson 2012.

Dessert: 4 gl. of Pinot Gris Grand Cru Sonnenglanz, VT, Bott Geyl, Alsace 2006 (France).

Extras:

The restaurant served 4 tasters before dinner and 2 tasters after dinner - so got well looked after - even if we only went for 5 courses this time.

Annette and Carlos also had a great tour of the kitchen, where the Head Chef was still preparing food while talking to us.
