All 4 members in the Michelin Club went for the Surprise Menu, where the following dishes were served:
Chef's appetiser
Crab (Lime dressed white crab meat, fennel, mango & coconut).
Cazpacho (Chilled tomato soup, confit tomato, Brock Hall goat's cheese mousse).
Tuna (Seared tuna with classic Nicoise garnish).
Asparagues (English asparagus, confit egg yolk, toated hazelnuts, sordough croutons).
Stone Bass (Fillet of stone bass, confit tomatoes fennel).
Beef (Fillet of beef, pommes Anna, asparagus, smoked bone marrow).
British Cheese (plated selection of British cheese).
Chef's pre-dessert
Strawberry (Strawberry parfait, strawberry meringue, Champagné).
Caramel Slice (Puffed rice, caramel, Madirofolo ganache, popcorn ice cream).
Wine:
The Wine was picked with excellent help from the Sommelier, where we had the following:
White: 2011 Testalonga Bandito, 'Skin Contact', Chenin Blanc (long maceration) (South Africa) & 2 gl of 2012 Jurancon Séc, Clos Lapeyre, Jean Bernard Larrieu (South West France) & 2 gl of unkown.
Red: 2008 Clos du Jaugueyron, Haut Medoc, Margaus, Michel Theuron (France).
Port: 4 gl of 2007 Quinta da Romaneira, Late Bottled Vintage Unfiltered.
Dessert: 4 gl of 2013 Cerdon de Bugey, Renardet Fache, Ain (France) (D), 4 fl of 2000 Rivesaltes Ambré, Cazes (France).
Extras:
The restaurant furthermore served 3 different tasters before dinner and 6 different small tasters after dinner.
Annette and Carlos also had a nice tour of the kitchen in the end of the evening.
