Menu:


1 of us picked the 5 courses tasting menu and 3 of us picked the 7 courses tasting menu but all of us had some choices within the menu. All of us also shared 2 additional cheese courses from the cheese trolley - so had the following dishes served:


Gem, Bread & broth, Flesh & bone
Ripe persimmon with jasmine-infused juice, green olive & walnuts
3 x Foie gras cured in Moscatel wine with warm brioche; quince & wood sage honey chutney
Nest egg

2 x Tempura Cornish monkfish with pied de mouton
2 x Roasted Orkney scallop with buckwheat, swede & black truffle
1 x Wagyu beef shavings, Oscietra caviar & rye in a warm oxtail broth
3 x Venison cooked in smoked butter, charcoal baked flatbread, pickles, mustard & molasses

2 x Selection of cheeses from the trolley, autumn fruit bread & chutney
3 x Pumpkin & orange blossom sherbet
1 x Lapis Lazuli
3 x Burnt milk crisp with mascarpone ice cream, fennel pollen & birch sap
Chestnut & malt pillows Acorn


Wine:


We got some help from the Somelier to pick the wines where we had the following:


White: 1 x Terlano Vorberg Pinot Bianco 2020 (Italy)

Red: 1 x Casa Ferreirinha Vinha Grande Tinto 2019 (Portugal)

Port: 1/2 x Fonseca Vintage 2017 (Portugal)

Dessert: 1/2 x Dandelion Vineyards Legacy of Australia PX (Australia)



Extras:


Furthermore we got a tour of the Kitchen at the end of the night so it was nearly dead. However saw their very special bakery in action, which works through the night and also deliver bread to a nearby shop.
